Derby Day Party 2017 | Saturday,  May 6
At 3 p.m., celebrate the Kentucky Derby at Green Dot Stables! There will be a live bluegrass band, the Kufflinks, and you'll get a free commemorative when you purchase a Woodford Mint Julep. This is definitely a party you don't want to miss.

Kentucky Derby Party at Batch Brewing Company | Saturday, May 6
Batch Brewing Company is teaming up with Detroit BBQ Company to bring you Detroit's take on Kentucky's finest food and drink traditions. There will be Kentucky-style BBQed mutton, Burgoo (Kentucky gumbo) and a hot brown pasty. There will also be Old Kentucky Home (Mint Julep beer) on tap and beer slushies. The party starts at 11 a.m.!

Southwest Detroit Tour | Saturday, May 6
This bike tour hosted by Wheelhouse Detroit Bike Shop will explore the hidden gems and beauty of Southwest Detroit. The tour will be along W. Vernor Highway, lined with thriving taquerias and businesses. Stops will include The Alley Project, Clark Park and Ste. Anne's Church. You'll get to ride through Del Ray, Woodmere Cemetery, Patton Park and Hubbard Farms. You'll also get the chance to visit Fort Wayne, which dates back to the Civil War era. There will be a focus on the area's diversity and demographic changes throughout the years. Make sure to bring cash for a stop at the MexicanTown Bakery! Fashion Massacre 8ight | Sunday, May 7
Fashion Massacre is a fashion presentation presented once a year built upon on self-expression and individuality. It focuses on and brings attention to emerging designers in the Metro Detroit area. It's a unique showcase of underground fashion and art this is contributing to Detroit's driving force in the fashion industry. The presentation will take place from 8 to 10 p.m. in the basement of the Detroit Historical Museum.
