It Trends: August's Style Board

August marks the end of summer, however, that doesn't mean you need to immediately start wearing Fall clothes. You can have the best of both worlds! Start by wearing denim with frayed hems, this adds an edgy detail to a classic pair of blue jeans. Bohemian dresses are great because they add Fall appeal with darker colors, but you're still staying cool since they're dresses. Mules have been everywhere lately, so get yourself a pair with cool details like embroidery or rough leather. Graphic shirts are great for any time of the year, but graphic tank tops are perfect for the still-hot temps. They're also a great transition piece since they layer well with sweaters and denim jackets. Fun accessories will end your summer on a high note, like the baby blue, cat eye sunglasses and multi-colored, tassel hat.

This month is all about that effortless style. Since June marks the official start of summer, white will be the color to wear. We love a good white-on-white outfit. Straw clutches are the it-bag this season because they instantly add a tropical vibe to any outfit. Swing dresses in a comfy material are great to throw on for running errands in the heat and can either be dressed up or down. Slide sandals are great for everything -- running errands, going out, heading to the beach or pool. If you should have any pair of sandals this summer, it's a slide.

May is finally here! Usually this means warm weather is here to stay, however, you never know with Michigan. We're all about statement sunglasses, since they can make your errand-running outfit so much more chic. The same goes for lace-up and gladiator sandals. Light blue is one of the best transition colors from spring into summer. It can be dressed up or down. Since it's still cool enough to wear jeans, try a funky pair, like the ripped and frayed ones and the bleached ones. It's all in the details. Lastly, switch up your makeup this month and try a bright color.

As for beauty, the "no makeup" makeup look is where it's at. It looks completely natural and is perfect for a long day at the office. If you're heading out for drinks after work, just put on a bright lipstick.
