Do It: This Weekend's Style, Beauty and Fashion Events That are Not to Be Missed

This weekend is full of fun and fashionable things to do, so if you're itching to hit the town, these events will keep you busy.

Founders Junior Council Presents Cirque | Saturday, March 25
The Founders Junior Council, a group of young professionals and one of the DIA's largest auxiliaries, is hosting its annual masquerade ball -- Cirque. This year's theme is Mythos, focusing on mythology from all across the world. From 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., the DIA will have drinks, dancing and debauchery. The dress code is formal, masked attire. DOM SUTLE Presents Straight Off the Runway Fashion Show | Saturday, March 25
From 6 to 9 p.m., Dom Sutle will be hosting an unforgettable fashion experience, while also celebrating its owner's 30th birthday. Brewery Walking Tour - Detroit | Saturday, March 25
Motor City Brew Tours presents a walking tour of some of Detroit's best breweries! The tour will start at Jolly Pumpkin Pizzeria and Brewery and include Traffic Jam & Snug and Motor City Brewing Works. Tickets are $42.50 and available here or at the event. This tour is 21+ and will start at 11:30 a.m.

Pure Detroit Fisher Building Tour | Sunday, March 26
Pure Detroit invites you to a tour of Detroit's 1928 Albert Kahn-designed masterpiece. The free tour will begin at Pure Detroit's shop inside the building and is open to all ages. From noon to 1 p.m., learn intimate details and experience firsthand the ornate and intricate designs, which include one-of-a-kind mosaics, painted ceilings, Art Deco chandeliers and the finest craftsmanship of stone, brass and bronze. The tour will include a history of the building, a tour of the interior arcade, third floor and 19th floor, and close up details of the largest marble skyscraper in the world. All Things Detroit & Food Truck Rally | Sunday, March 26
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Eastern Market, you will get the chance to dine on Detroit delectables and sample sweet treats, while receiving acclaimed products and services from in and around Detroit. You're also supporting Detroit's amazing small businesses! Tickets are only $5, but there is also a "Beat the Crowd" package for $15 which gets you into the event a full hour early. After Dark: Time Travel | Thursday, March 16
Come out to the Michigan Science for a night of time travel. From 6 to 9 p.m. you'll be able take pictures in front of a real DeLorean, check out an early prototype of Marty McFly's hovercraft, experience metal bending, explore the spandex universe and see a planetarium show. The featured drink is a Sonic Screwdriver, inspired by Doctor Who. This is a 21+ only event. Tickets are $15 and be purchased here.

The Happier Hour, March | Friday, March 17
Join TechTown for an extension of their usual Friday popcorn and beer into the evening. From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. enjoy free snacks, drinks, special "Shamrock" Shakes and March Madness. Bring your friends and meet new ones, too!

JUICE | Friday, March 17
SURVIVE DETROIT and Stay Laced are excited to participate in Clubhaus Detroit's "Power Thirty" series! There will be artwork from SURVIVE DETROIT artists, with special performances by OG Ted, Itz Louie and JAY ADAMS. This event is free and will go from 8 p.m. to midnight. To register, click here.

Innovation Speaker Series: Kimberly Bryant | Saturday, March 18
Kimberly Bryant works to introduce young women of color to technology and computer science with a concentration on entrepreneurial concepts. She has been recognized by the White House as a Champion of Change and is a recipient of the American Ingenuity Award in Social Progress. Think Spring Craft Show | Saturday, March 18
Come out to the Royal Oak Farmers Market from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a fun-filled day of crafts! There will be over 50 unique crafters featured. There will be something for everyone.

Hoop Dance Workshop at The Flyhouse | Saturday, March 18
This fun hula hoop workshop is for anyone and everyone who would like to spin, dance and move in new ways. From 5:30 to 7 p.m. join this small class for personalized tips and instructions. Hoops will be available to borrow or purchase. Tickets are $30 a person and can be purchased here.

Spring Soiree - The Ultimate Pop Up Shop | Saturday, March 18
Spring is almost here! To celebrate, come out to Clubhaus Detroit for the ultimate Detroit business shopping event. There will be 15+ vendors with over 1,000 clothing, beauty products, accessories, sweet treats and more items to shop from. There will also be free mimosas and giveaways! Fash Bash | Thursday, August 11
The DIA Founders Junior Council is inviting you to the annual Fash Bash! Come out for a one-of-a-kind evening filled with fashion, food and fun against the backdrop of the DIA. This amazing event kicks off with an outdoor cocktail party starting at 7 p.m., followed by Neiman Marcus' 'Art of Fashion' runway show in the magnificent Great Hall. There will be drinks and dancing afterwards at the Lincoln Black Label Afterglow. Proceeds will directly benefit the FJC's recent pledge of $1 million the museum's endowment campaign. Riverfront Relaxin' featuring Ferris Bueller's Day Off | Thursday, August 11
Riverfront Relaxin' is back this weekend for some more music and a movie. Remember, it's a free music and movie series down at West Riverfront Park. This week the featured movie is a classic: Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and music will be played by Jody Raffoul Band. Music kicks off at 6:30 p.m., and the movie will start promptly at 8:20 p.m.

The Detroit Riot Pop-Up Shop Experience | Saturday, August 13
If you love to vintage shop, then Detroit Riot's first pop-up shop where you need to be! Detroit Riot is a vintage resale shop in the city that offers affordable and gently used clothes for everyone. This pop-up will include unique styles from multiple eras while you sip, shop and mingle with other Detroiters. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Detroit Community Health Center's Healthy Teen Clinic, a center that provides health care for teens in the city. There will also be other businesses selling merchandise at this pop-up, including Napier Designs, Detroit Home of the Grind and The Heat Factory. This is also a free event from 1 to 5 p.m. and will be held at Zarkpa's Purses & Accessories Storefront.

Back-to-You Event | Saturday, August 13
This awesome wellness event kicks off with a yoga sweat sesh followed by an empowering workshop for everyone that wants to become their authentic self. You'll learn all about the power of yoga, meditation, mindfulness, fearlessness, journaling, soul searching and more. Doors open at 9 a.m. at Ponyride so the yoga can start promptly at 10 a.m. Make sure to bring your own yoga mat. To ensure your spot, you can purchase a ticket here.
