On The Town: Hair and Beauty Show to Benefit DGG

The 3^rd Annual Posh Deux Hair, Fashion & Makeup show is happening at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, and we are honored to be the beneficiary of this year's event.

Founded by Maya Mitchell and Jennifer Elayne, this event was developed to provide a platform for designers, artists and stylists to showcase their creativity in Detroit. Attendees will have the chance to see fashion and beauty professionals showcase new work, and be able to network with local professionals.Like we said, a portion of the proceeds for the ticket sales will go to Detroit Garment Group and the hair, makeup and fashion will be fresh, so don't miss out!

On The Town: Warm Up the Long Winter at Vodka Vodka

Drink, dance and enjoy the warmth as Vodka Vodka returns for its sixth year from 7:30 to 11 p.m. On Friday, February 7 at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. Small-batch distilleries samples, 400-year-old staples and innovative signature cocktails will be available for the tasting while DJ Godfather heats things up on the dance floor.

This year’s installment takes the Russian-themed event to the next level with the Valentine Vixen fashion show presented by Lover’s Lane. Local designers Camilo Pardo, Homeslice founder Emily Thornhill and others will be featured in the show as well. Cutting-edge hair styled by Bianchi’s and London Calling salons will compliment the fashion perfectly.

General admission is $35 and VIP $55; designated driver tickets are available at the door for $15. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Healthy Detroit, a non-profit public health organization, so grab your fur hats and head to Vodka Vodka to support a healthy living and to have a great time while doing it.
