Detroit Assemble Brings Detroit Brands to Royal Oak | Friday, November 25 through Thursday, December 8
Detroit Assemble's Pop-up Shop in the NORO area, a new gallery and shopping destination, will be showcasing a collection of compelling, hand-made, Detroit-based brands--just in time for the holidays. Shoppers will be able to browse and buy house decor, men's and women's apparel and accessories, as well as exclusive wood-cut prints from CCS' Illustration chair Don Kilpatrick and photography prints from Detroit icon and legend Bill Rauhauser.

NORO (North Royal Oak shopping district) is located at 2655 Nakota St., in Royal Oak.

Black Friday Shopping Event | Friday, November 25
Come out to Lamia & Lamia Salon for an awesome Black Friday shopping event. You'll be able to find unique, one-of-a-kind and quality gifts for friends, family and even yourself. There will also be refreshments and giveaways.

Tux & Chucks 6th Annual Charitable Fundraising Event | Friday, November 25
Tux & Chucks is an annual fundraising event to benefit local Detroit-based grassroots charities. In its 6th year, the event will be held at the Sound Board theater in the MotorCity Casino and Hotel from 8 p.m. to midnight. The dress code is as it sounds: men are required to wear a suit or tuxedo and Chuck Taylors, and women are required to wear cocktail attire with Chuck Taylors. There is general admission for $80 which comes with a cash bar, and there is VIP for $115 which includes an open bar, VIP only lounge and Skybox access. To purchase tickets, click here.

Warby Parker in Detroit | Saturday, November 26
As you know from one of our blog posts, Warby Parker is opening a store in Downtown Detroit. Since the store is opening in the original Vernor's Pharmacy, Warby Parker will be serving the cult favorite Vernor's pop on tap in custom-designed Detroit-specific cups. You don't want to miss this grand-opening event, so stop by, do a little shopping and enjoy a Detroit classic.

Brunch & Trunk Show! | Sunday, November 27

Join the Michigan Women's Foundation and their fabulous women entrepreneurs to start your holiday shopping this weekend. On Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. and Monday from 5 to 8 p.m., there will be over 30 vendors selling a variety of items perfect for gift-giving for anyone. This will be held at the Loft at 1420 in the Julian C. Madison building.

1st Anniversary Party | Wednesday, November 25

Punch Bowl Social is celebrating one year of success, growth, and fun! Doors to the anniversary party open at 5:00 p.m., so head on over after work for a food buffet, drinks, bowling, games, and more. Dan Tillery and DJ David Boji will provide the live entertainment as guests mix and mingle. Tickets are $10 at the door, and 100% of sales will go to Camp Casey, a wonderful nonprofit horseback riding program for children with cancer. Your ticket will get you a plate for the food buffet, two drink tickets, and open games. Put on your bowling shoes, grab your friends, and come celebrate one year of Punch Bowl.

Funhouseproductions presents the second annual Fire Sale this Black Friday. Stop by and see a group art show where none of the art goes back home with the artist - the art either goes home with a buyer or it burns in the fire. Enjoy live music by Ukulele Hayley and Dick’s Good Vibes as you bid for art via s silent auction and if the clock strikes midnight and the piece isn’t sold, a massive art fire will take place. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with a $5 cover.

Tux & Chucks - 5th Annual Charitable Fundraising Event | Friday, November 27

Pair your favorite cocktail dress with Chuck Taylor Sneakers and head down to MGM Grand to help raise funds to support local organizations such as Mittens for Detroit, Kicks 4 Kids Foundation, and The Rhonda Walker Foundation. Mix and mingle near an open bar as trays of hors d’oeuvres travel through the room while live entertainment plays throughout the evening. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased on www.tuxandchucks.org.
