H2D Social Club-Craft Work wsg/Jordan Bronk | Thursday, August 6
The Haute to Death social club is coming to Craft Work for a night of dancing and drinks! This ultra-smooth, summer-jams party in the West Village will feature drink specials and no cover from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. Guests must be 21 and up to attend.

Historic Boston-Edison Attic Sale 2015 | Saturday, August 8 & Sunday, August 9
The annual two-day attic sale in the Historic Boston-Edison District is here and happening from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Walk this historical neighborhood, while shopping for good deals on furniture, clothes, artwork, antiques and much more.

Mixtapes and Pancakes V | Saturday, August 8
Enjoy an array of pancake flavors and listen to a few of the live performers at 5 p.m. at the premiere breakfast-themed networking experience of the summer. Lafayette Park Yard Sale 2015 | Saturday, August 8
Don’t miss out on the Lafayette Park Yard Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Chrysler Elementary School. Shop a yard sale so big, it will take place on East Lafayette, but may likely spill around to the park behind the school, too. Rain or shine, goods will be out for browsing, so stop by and look for that one thing you didn’t know you needed until you laid your eyes on it.

On the Town: Art of Detroit is Back at Saks

Celebrate the city and the surrounding suburbs with the 2nd Annual Art of Detroit from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 21 at Saks Fifth Avenue. Guests are encouraged to “travel the M-1 Rail” through the store to enjoy food from local restaurants, sip on custom cocktails and view original artwork by students and graduates of College for Creative Studies.

“Things are getting bigger and better - in the city, and with our event,” said Saks Fifth Avenue Marketing Director Maureen Conway. “We’re embracing the opportunity to showcase all that Detroit has to offer – from our generous restaurant partners, to the amazing student artists – we truly aim to create an environment that blends all things Detroit, in a way that can be appreciated in an abstract fashion.”  

Café ML, 220, Townhouse, Imerman Cake Company, Rock City Eatery, Atwater Brewery, London Chop House and more local favorites will provide food stations and custom cocktails. Jared Sykes and CCS graduate Ben Sharkey and will provide entertainment and music for the evening, while attendees can browse exclusive designer trunk shows featuring fine and fashion jewelry, clothing and accessories.
