Financial Well-Being for Women | Wednesday, July 8
Come out for an empowering seminar for women, which educates women financially, and discuesses the financial challenges unique to women while empowering them. Dearborn Jazz on the Ave Music Series | Wednesday, July 8 to Wednesday, August 12
Every Wednesday starting July 8 up until August 12, come out and listen to the soothing sounds of jazz music. There will be a host of different musicians performing, and the list includes Marc Antoine, Charles & Gwen Scales, 496 West, and many other performers. The music series takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. in east downtown Dearborn.

Detroit Speaks: Laura Mott | Wednesday, July 8
Laura Mott, Curator of Contemporary Art and Design at Cranbrook Art Museum will be at MOCAD at 7 p.m. to discuss her discoveries in and explorations of the Detroit art world. MOCAD Curator of Public Programs and moderator Greg Baise will join her for the evening’s discussion.

July Drinks by Design | Thursday, July 9
Drinks by Design is celebrating all things architecture FROM 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Carr Center. The night kicks off with a little live music, and guests can enjoy an architectural exhibit titled “Nice Outfits.” Take a step inside of The Carr Center as they host a gallery reception, or head upstairs as Drinks by Design and Pecha Kucha Detroit host a night with eight presenters discussing all-things architecture. Admission is free, but guests need to register on Eventbrite.

Chocolates and Networking Business Exchange | Thursday, July 9
Adra Young host of Detroit’s Cooks and Book Show will be airing her show live from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gayle’s Chocolates for a networking event sure to trigger your taste buds. Mix, mingle and exchange business cards with other business professionals to get your business known and potentially meet someone who could help you or vice versa. Don’t forget to purchase a couple of sweet treats before you leave!

13th Annual Michigan Lavender Festival | Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12
If you have a love for lavender and being outdoors, you’re not going to want to miss the 13th Annual Michigan Lavender Festival starting at 10 a.m., Friday through Sunday. Workshops, cooking, demonstrations, and much more will be available to enjoy, along with all of the lovely lavender at Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill. Admission is $6 for adults, and children under 12 are free, and the admission includes seating to all the demonstrations and classes.

Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill is located at 17985 Armada Center Rd, in Armada.
