From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be free one hour, docent-led tours at the Detroit Library! The tour highlights the architecture of Cass Gilbert, as well as many other works from famed craftsmen and architects. Their docents will share the history, art and architecture of the acclaimed main library. You'll discover the grand staircase, the Pewabic fireplace, the Ernie Harwell Room and many other surprises. Dearborn Women's Expo | Sunday, March 12
Grab your BFF or family member and head down to the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center for fashion, accessories, health, wellness, home decor and so much more. Following the parade, it's back to the streetwide party with fun at pubs, bars, tailgates, beer tents and festivals.

Drinks x Design: Interaction  Design | Thursday, November 10
For the month of November, Drinks x Design will activate the CCS Taubman Center with a celebration of interaction design. Join the CCS MFA Interaction Design and BFA Communication Design departments, Grand Circus, members of Detroit's User Experience community and the Drinks x Design sponsors Vitamin T and Aquent as they showcase their industry. This specific edition of Drinks x Design is a part of World Usability Day, a single day of events occurring around the world, uniting interactive professionals to ensure that the services and products important to life are human-centered, easy to access and simple to use. This will be a group exhibition featuring Detroit-based artists Scott Klinker, Steve McShane, George Vidas and Patrick Ethen. Each of these artists utilizes light as their medium from a different perspective, expressing its physical, physiological and psychological capabilities through color, pattern and communication. This annual street fair is a free celebration of life in the Cass Corridor benefiting the North Cass Community Union. Dally After Party | Saturday, September 10
Find the Gallery Bypass pop-up exhibition during Dally in the Alley at the corner of Hancock and 2nd Street, and then hang out and party with everyone. This will be taking place at the Tangent Gallery / Hastings Street Ballroom. Volunteers and performers get in for free, other than that there is a $5 charge. Open Streets, 3.7 miles of Michigan Ave. and W. Vernor
12 to 5 p.m. In this first-time event, Michigan Ave. and Vernor Hwy. will be transformed into a giant street park as the road is temporarily blocked to car traffic.

Detroit Soup, Jam Handy | 2900 E. Grand Blvd.
5 to 8 p.m. Residents will pitch ideas for design-based interventions for their neighborhoods to the community over soup and salad, letting attendees vote for the best idea.

This will be a fun-filled weekend with lots to do and learn with opportunities available for everyone!

April Drinks x Design: Fashion + Accessories | Thursday, April 14

For the month of April DC3 will be teaming up with Grand Circus Magazine, Orleans + Winder, and Brooklyn Outdoor for a celebration of fashion in Detroit. This celebration will take place on the corner of Russell and Winder at Brooklyn Outdoor. Detroit Vs. Everybody will have extended hours on the first floor, and guests can enjoy avant-garde styles from Orleans + Winder with live models showcasing the Spring/ Summer 2016 collection on the second floor. They didn’t forget about the food, which will take place in the third floor along with music, a place to lounge, and a pop-up retail experience. After all the fun is over you can hang around for the screening of “The True Cost” at Orleans + Winder. This event is for 21+ only.

Women in the City Celebration | Wednesday, September 16
Celebrate the strides that powerful and influential women make each day from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Bamboo Detroit. Learn from and celebrate three women who have devoted their positivity and drive to Detroit. Linda Walter from the Detroit Outdoor Adventure Cetner, Ellen Trudell a current Communication Coordinator for the Detroit Lions, and Sara Aldridge a music enthusiast and Detroit DJ will be on hand to talk about making their mark on the city. 2015 Made in Michigan Festival | Friday, September 18

Enjoy pure Michigan from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Civic Ice Arena. Start your morning with a Miles for Meals 5K walk to help raise funds for a senior meal program, and refuel with a Hog Wild BBQ contest, beer gardens, and food trucks. Get into the Autumn flow and grab a hot coffee and listen to local bands, while your kids enjoy fun activities. Walk around to see unique gifts, art, and products all made in Michigan this weekend.

Artworks Detroit 20th Anniversary | Friday, September 18

Need some new ideas for date night? We’ve got one. Come bid on 150 pieces of fine art, enjoy a strolling fashion show, and listen to live entertainment from 6:00-11:45pm to spice up your Friday night. Mix and mingle with tasty appetizers and delicious cocktails. Tickets can be purchased on the Artworks Detroit website at $75. Proceeds from this event go to Michigan AIDS Coalition to continue promoting HIV/AIDS counseling as well as testing, prevention, and educational efforts in metro Detroit.

Photo Day at Russel Industrial Center | Saturday, September 19
If you've been dying to take pictures around Detroit, or to get that perfect industrial background for your blog post outfit of the day, then stop by from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Russel Industrial Center, as the campus exterior will be fully accessible for photography. When you post your photos, hashtag #RussellIndustrialCenter so they can see your photos, and one lucky photographer will have their picture featured as the cover photo on Facebook for one month. September Detroit SOUP + Build Bazaar | Sunday, September 20
Come learn about and help fund a creative project in Detroit, while eating a delicious potluck dinner supplied, in part, by FoodLab Detroit. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a little mixing and mingling, the proposals start around 7 p.m. Different groups will speak about their projects they need funded in Detroit, and guests can vote for the project they think should win the money raised from dinner. Dinner will happen around 8 p.m., and the winners will be announced before everyone leaves around 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring a minimum $5 donation and food to pass. Build Institute will feature 15 vendors from their monthly Build Bazaar, everything from artisanal candles and soap to fresh baked goods and handmade wares.

Fash Bash 2015 | Thursday, August 13
DIA's most fashionable fundraiser starts at 7 p.m. and ends late in the evening with an after party under the stars. Unfortunately, it's completely sold out, however, DGG will be in attendance to snap pictures of what everyone will be wearing and to provide a recap the following day.

August Drinks x Design: Makers | Thursday, August 13
Makers of all kinds will be highlighted and celebrated at this month's Drinks x Design from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at OmniCorpDetroit. If you don't already know, OmniCorpDetroit is a collective of makers, entrepreneurs, doers, artists, designers, engineers and more who work on commissioned and personal projects. Several cool demonstrations by the OmniCorpDetrot makers will be happening during the event, while the guests mix, mingle and enjoy a few drinks. 13^th Annual Michigan Lavender Festival | Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12

If you have a love for lavender and being outdoors, you’re not going to want to miss the 13^th Annual Michigan Lavender Festival starting at 10 a.m., Friday through Sunday. Workshops, cooking, demonstrations, and much more will be available to enjoy, along with all of the lovely lavender at Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill. Admission is $6 for adults, and children under 12 are free, and the admission includes seating to all the demonstrations and classes.
