Oh, Shop It: Styleshack Relaunch

Styleshack is so much more than a website, it’s an interactive experience that prides itself on promoting local shopping, and they make it as easy as possible since you can shop locally from the comfort of your own home. By creating a personalized Style Quiz, they can better link the customer to discover new retailers and really develop his or her unique style. Styleshack's vision is to help specialty stores get the best of local shoppers with national appeal online, and we couldn’t be more fond of that. I mean, who doesn't like shopping in their pajamas?

Well, everybody’s favorite shop-local website Styleshack just did a complete re-vamp, and we have the scoop. Not only did the Styleshack did we speak to the team about what's going on, but went through the Styleshack experience to provide you with a detailed before-and-after experience. And to entice you to do a little test drive of the brand-new site.

When the page turns over to the relaunched Styleshack, you will immediately notice the sleekness of the redesign. High-quality photos, professional posts, and easy to navigate tabs made the website very easy to move through as well as an enjoyable experience. Once the overall website was browsed through, a profile was made and the Style Quiz was taken. DGG's team took the quiz and wasn't surprised at all with the results, which is great. Once the quiz was finished, it brings you to a page where you can shop your style. So often, consumers spend so much time browsing through items they don’t identify with and end up giving up before completing an order. This frustration was completely gone with the style quiz.

Another perk of this website is that since all the retailers are local, you have the ability to use a reservation system to put items on hold so you can go to the store, try it on, and purchase that day - locally. The Notes and Trend section is great for anyone looking for some outfit inspiration. Bloggers provide outfit of the day inspiration, the hottest seasonal trends, and style guides. And, Styleshack is not just a fashion site, the Lifeshack section covers all topisc from health and beauty to tech and food.

Being an online retailer can be difficult to find ways to differentiate oneself from the competition, but Styleshack did just that. By being able to shop your city, whether that is Chicago, Detroit, Denver, L.A., or New York, you can find local retailers that fit your style and zip code.

Guest Blog: Style It Local with Rachel Schostak of Styleshack

Name: Rachel Schostak
Instagram: @Styleshack (personal is @rayprins)

About Me: Often, you will find me sourcing the best boutiques and stores throughout the country to join Styleshack.com {Shop Local Network}. Its an online marketplace where shoppers can search their specific style and discover, connect and shop from local boutiques or even awesome stores outside their geo location.  When I'm not working.... I try to get my art fix and paint, love hanging with family, indulging in beach reads and magazines. Obsessed with: anything Parisian, Sunday Mornings when my husband makes the most delicious eggs, french fries (with or without eggs), candy, soft t shirts and having a good laugh.

Style It Local (shop the outfit below):
Jeans: Rear Ends
Boots: Nordstrom (Somerset)

Style Inspiration:
Parisian street style. New York and Detroit on the weekends. My style icons: Ali MacGraw, Katie Holmes - the natural girls. A former boss of mine, when I lived in NY, Cassandra Grey, has the most fabulous sense of style and was very much inspired by her at young age. I also am inspired by the iconic looks of Natalie Wood.

Most Coveted Designer Fall/Winter Collection #1: TIE between CHANEL + Victoria Beckham (CHANEL is always a top coveted collection I want my hands on) and now Victoria Beckham has proven to be a classic visionary designer.... and she was a SPICE GIRL... which I think, is pretty cool. SO POSH.

Most Coveted Designer Fall/Winter Collection #2: I really like Veronica Beard FW15 Collection - I think their designs are fitting for the modern woman's lifestyle. I also like, while they use quality fabrics and considered a luxury brand... their pieces are relatable.
