FGI-Detroit Open Meeting | Thursday, January 12
The January meeting of the Fashion Group International-Detroit will be happening at The Townsend Hotel from 7 to 8:30 p.m. They're looking for new members to join this amazing fashion community! Men and women are invited to come out and take part. If you plan on going please bring a bio, resume or other fashion-related credentials. For more information on FGI, please click here.

2017 NAIAS Charity Preview | Friday, January 13
It's auto show time! If you want to be one of the first to preview this year's North American International Auto Show, come out to one of the most exclusive and high-profile events in the nation. Proceeds will directly benefit a wide range of children's charities in Southeast Michigan. Since 1976, the charity preview has raised more than $106 million for charities! Vision Board Workshop 2017 | Saturday, January 14
Vision boards are a great way to visualize your dreams and a way to manifest what you would like to happen in your life. This workshop at the Office Coffee Shop is a great way to meet other visionaries like yourself, while working toward your goals and dreams. From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. you'll work on your vision board, and then from 1 to 1:30 p.m. there will be a roundtable discussion and wrap-up of the event. It's $35 for one person and you can bring a friend for $25. The price includes light refreshments, supplies and inspirational items. To purchase tickets, click here.

Winter Film Series: The Hudson's Building | Sunday, January 15
This 1997 film chronicles the history of the famous Hudson's Department Store in Downtown Detroit and the debate over the possible demolition of the building after it closed its doors in 1983. It includes historic photos, home movies, and interviews with employees and customers, city planners, developers and members of city council. This is a free showing at the Detroit Historical Museum. You don't want to miss it!

FGI Detroit Fall 2016 Fashion Trend Event | Thursday, June 30
FGI will be hosting an event to introduce fall 2016's fashion trends at Orleans & Winder in The Eastern Market from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be light drinks and food available. Tickets are available here.

Corktown STRUT -- Music, Art and Food Festival | Friday, July 1 - Sunday, July 3

Corktown STRUT is Detroit's annual 3-day music, art and food festival over Fourth of July weekend. A long line-up of music and food/drink sponsors will make this event one for the books. The event starts at 7 p.m. on Friday and goes through Sunday until 11 p.m. There will be a shuttle available, so parking won't be an issue. Michigan RIB FEST 2016 with Fireworks Show | Friday, July 1 - Monday, July 4

Head down to the M1 Concourse for ribs and family friendly fun. Fireworks will be taking place Friday at 10 p.m. There will be live music on multiple stages, professional drivers doing laps in Dodge Vipers, craft beers, ciders, wine, cocktails, a rib cookoff, monster truck rides, pig races and so much more. City Bird’s 5th Anniversary and Expansion Celebration | Thursday, December 18
Celebrate five years of City Bird and the conclusion of its exciting expansion from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. The shop has been reinvented with about 50 percent more floor area, new displays and even more products to shop. Enjoy refreshments and check out the holiday ornaments, including the limited edition 2014 Detroit ornament that will be released at the event.
