Faces of Slow Roll @ TMV | Thursday, February 5

Do you love Slow Roll in Detroit? Is all of this snow and cold weather making you miss the days of a bike ride in the spring? Well, you can go and get your Slow Roll fix from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday night. TMV Group is hosting a private showing of Detroit photographer Eric Perry’s new series, “Faces of Slow Roll.” This event is free, so stop by and enjoy the photography.

Grit and Glamour Fashion Show | Thursday, February 5

Support Michigan Community Resources’ legal, planning, educational and outreach programs with the Grit and Glamour Fashion Show in the Penobscot’s Congress Corridor. Detroit Derby Girls and other local women will be modeling womenswear, handbags and accessories during the event and light refreshments, a cash bar and drawings will be available. Drink Detroit: Winter Blast Edition | Friday, February 6

A great way to celebrate the Meridian Winter Blast is with a drink! From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., take a tour of the best bars with Detroit Experience Factory. The evening will start at Café d’Mongo’s Speakeasy then over to Downtown Louie’s Lounge finishing at Cornerstone Barrel House. There will be reduced drink prices for the tourists of the tour, fun facts and maybe even a free shot or free snacks. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older. American Heart Association – Go Red for Women Luncheon | Friday, February 6

Wear your red and celebrate the power of women and bring awareness to the issue of heart disease at the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Luncheon. The event hosts over 600 of Southeast Michigan’s most prominent female leaders from corporate, medical, educational and social communities to raise funds for education and research for heart disease. Vodka Vodka | Saturday, February 7

This Russian-themed event is going to be taken to a new level featuring a cutting-edge hair and fashion show, an assortment of delicious cuisine and a live DJ from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Sip innovative cocktails crafted and sample selections from small-batch distilleries and 400-year-old samples. Vodka Vodka attendees will be treated to an exclusive “Valentine Vixen” fashion show presented by Lover’s Lane, featuring designs by Camilo Pardo, Homeslice founder Emily Thornhill and more. Koodelah Trunk Show | Saturday, February 7

Designer Rebecca Mullins of Koodelah will be at Nora from 3 to 6 p.m. for a trunk show. Rebecca draws inspiration from nature, culture and life experience and her creative process is often ignited by the simplicities of life. Each of her pieces are proudly handmade and will be on display at the trunk show.

Downtown Detroit Meridian Winter Blast | Friday, February 6 through Sunday, February 8

Campus Martius and some of the surrounding streets will be filled with family-fun, winter activities this weekend! Head downtown to take part in some winter activates including snow slide, snow shoeing, free ice skating, an ice garden, marshmallow roasting and more. The local music scene will be on display on two stages with over 50 entertainment acts performing and the Taste of Detroit food and vendor tent will keep you warm and your belly full.
