This weekend is full of fun and fashionable things to do, so if you're itching to hit the town, these events will keep you busy.

Ladies Night Out | Thursday, April 28
Need some girl time after a long week? Come out to ladies night out in Downtown Farmington! There will be shopping, sales, specials and more at participating stores and eateries. The event goes from 5 to 9 p.m.

Downtown Farmington is located on Grand River Ave., in Farmington.



Red Bull House of Art Residency 1 Exhibition | Friday, April 29

Artists Carl Rauschenbach, Katy Ann Gilmore and Scott Vincent Campbell will be opening their exhibition at the Red Bull House of Art. The house's first selection of nationally curated artists will feature work created during their three month artist residency. Doors will be open from 7 to 10 p.m. The event is free and open to the public of all ages. Music will be provided by Erno the Inferno and Eastside Jon.

Spring Open House | Saturday, April 30

It's time for another open house at the Russell Industrial Center! The event officially begins at 4 p.m., but some studios may not open until after this time or even before. Participating studios include: Robert Plonka Photography, Wesley Eggebrecht (Bridge Studio), Michigan Hot Glass (open 6:30-10:30 p.m.), 'Re.studio', eARTh Studio, Dana Keaton Collection and many more.

Russell Industrial Center is located at 1600 Clay St., Detroit.



Dequindre Cut Opening Celebration Ride | Saturday, April 30

Come out and celebrate the grand opening of the Dequindre Cut with The Riverfront Conservancy! Meet at 12:30 p.m. at Wilkins and Orleans St. and the ride will start at 1 p.m. The ride will showcase the Eastern Market District, the opening of the Dequindre Cut and the greatness of Detroit.


After Studio: Drink/Dance/Art/Fun | Saturday, April 30

Cranbrook Contemporaries and Cranbrook Academy of Art's first-year students will be having a dance party outside of the Cranbrook Art Museum. Music will be by DJ duo Haute to Death. There will be a cash bar and dancing goes until 1 a.m. The event starts at 9:30 p.m. It's $20 in advance and $25 at the door. All proceeds support scholarships benefiting the students of Cranbrook Academy of Art.

4th Annual Detroit Rummage Sale | Sunday, May 1

Everyone is invited to come out to the annual Detroit Rummage Sale at Detroit's Tangent Gallery! There will be all sorts of used items for sale, trade or even gifting from vintage collectibles to everyday needs. This event will be indoors from noon until 6 p.m. with a bar open for soft drink and beer purchases. The Fargin Chef will also be there selling a variety of delicious hand-prepared foods. All ages are welcome and admission is free.
