Fresh baked goods, handmade ware and arsenal candles will be available for a one-of-a-kind shopping and vending experience.

Birmingham Winter Market | Friday, December 2 to Sunday, December 4
Birmingham will turn into a winter wonderland this weekend at the 7th Annual Birmingham Winter Market. Attendees will enjoy holiday shopping, warm food and drinks, crafts, ice carving, live reindeer and warming stations. Bring the whole family to downtown Birmingham and celebrate the season.

Noel Night | Saturday, December 3
Noel Night is celebrating its 44th year from 5 to 10 p.m. in Detroit's Midtown District. Over 100 local businesses including the DIA, Charles H. Wright Museum, the Detroit Historical Museum and the Detroit Public Library will open their doors to the public free of charge. Horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday shopping, family crafts and performances will be happening all evening. The community sing-along on Woodward Avenue, led by The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division Band, will conclude the evening's activities.

All festivities will be taking place in Midtown Detroit.

Sample Warehouse Spring Fling | Wednesday, March 23

Crowdfunding sounds appealing, but is it right for you? Build Institute has partnered with Jeff Aronoff of Sidewalk Ventures & Ebrahim Varachia of Patronicity to teach you the ins and outs of crowdfunding. Attendees will learn about different models of crowdfunding, all the ways to identify the funding goals and identifying when you’re ready to campaign. Free Art & Architecture Walking Tour | Friday, March 11
Detroit has so much to offer, from history, great architecture, and vibrant art all around us. Come walk the streets of Downtown Detroit with Detroit Experience Factory and PureDetroit to learn about all of those things. The walking tour will be one-hour, and guests will walk through The Belt, inside Campus Martius, Spirit of Detroit, and to end the tour you’ll stop by the PureDetroit shop inside the beautiful Guardian Building. The whole event is free thanks to Bank of America and donations.

Social Sushi Saturdays | Saturday, March 12
Every Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m., find delicious sushi prepared by the Social Sushi team. This is the first combined Cornhole & Bowling tournament in Detroit. Its that time of the year again, celebrate Irish heritage at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Build Next: Cutting Through Commercial Real Estate Red Tape | Thursday, February 25
Build Graduates and the community interested in growing their business can learn the how-to's of commercial real estate in this month's class. Build has partnered with Michael L. Lamb of Lamb Legal & Consulting Services to get into the topic of locating and securing commercial real ester. Attendees of the workshop will learn about zoning and variance approvals, drafting and negotiating leases, new construction, renovation and foreclosure, and possible financing and mortgage challenges. Build Institute is a program that turns business ideas into reality by helping to provide them with essential tools and resources they need. Ready Set Build is a fundraiser for this program, and from 5 to 8 p.m., Build is conducting its first gallery-style pitch competition. Social entrepreneurs will showcase their ideas to both investors and guests, and every audience member will then be able to cast a vote for which entrepreneur should win a cash prize and professional services, equaling over $5,000.
