The Social Runway | Friday, May 12
The Social Runway is a unique, upscale fashion affair which features designers from Metro Detroit and Canada. You can check our full write-up on the event with all the details here! The event goes from 7 to 11 p.m. and will be at The M@dison Building.

Macaron Mini Pop Up | Saturday, May 13
The Blu Kitchen is hosting another pop up at Detroit Mercantile Co. just in time for Mother's Day! There will be old and new flavors, so make sure you pick something up for the mothers in your life. Food truck Nosh Pit Detroit will also be at this pop up.

Ponyride Market Summer Series | Saturday, May 13
From May through October, Ponyride will be hosting their summer series market! It's a free, modern flea market once every month featuring a rotating cast of vendors who offer vintage, salvage and handmade goods, along with artisan food and drinks. This first market will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Project:OM Detroit | Saturday, May 13
This 45-60 minute yoga class inside Comerica Park will focus on the healing and stress reduction benefits of yoga -- making it perfect for yogis of all levels. QLine Opening Party | Saturday, May 13 through Sunday, May 14
In honor of the new M1 Rail or "QLine" opening, Hopcat will be offering buy-one-get-one-free brunch this weekend since there's a stop right next to them! You just need to mention their Facebook ad, and you'll get the free brunch.

Mother's Day Mimosas & Macarons | Sunday, May 14
Michigan by the Bottle Tasting Room is hosting their annual Mother's Day Celebration with mimosas and macarons! Your ticket includes three macarons from Love & Buttercream, a mimosa big pour and a $2 credit toward a take-home wine purchase that day. Additional wine and snacks will also be available to purchase. There are two time options: noon to 2 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. Tickets are available here and here.

Go Red Premiere Party | Wednesday, February 8
Join FOX 2's Maurielle Lue and Go Red for women in heart disease at William Beaumont Hospital for a free event presented by the American Heart Association. From 6 to 8 p.m. there will be sales of red accessories, fitness demonstrations, makeup tips and tricks from Macy's, health screenings, the Detroit Heart Walk and a casting call for the AHA National Go Red for Women Spokeswomen. There is no registration required but to donate, click here.

Porter Release Party by Gayle's Chocolates and Lily's Seafood | Friday, February 10
Gayle's Chocolates and Lily's Seafood have come together to create a Gayle's Chocolates Porter made with 100% cocoa. To celebrate the release, they're hosting a tasting party to sample this delectable new brew. This event will go from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

Valentine's Weekend Duo Deal | Friday, February 10 through Sunday, February 12
Celebrate Valentine's Day early with all Michigan by the Bottle Tasting Room locations by bringing in your significant other, friend, relative, a random stranger or whoever you want to get in on their duo deal! There is an early bird package from noon to 6 p.m., which is $40 for two mini flights, two special pours, a cheese and charcuterie board, and nuts and crackers to share. There is also an after hours package from 6 to 10 p.m., which is $50 for the same items in the early bird package, plus two $5 bottle credits toward take-home wine purchases. There are no reservations required.

Snow Me the Love 2017 | Saturday, February 11
Come out to Downtown Romeo from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a day of family fun! There will be a "Golden Ticket" Candy Bar drawing, which will raise money to help send packages overseas to our military with a grand prize of $500, various raffles, a playing of a special movie for kids at River of God Church, face painters and balloon twisters, a bake sale, free horse and carriage rides, a fortune teller, a marshmallow snowman building project for kids, and guided tours of the Clock Tower at the First Methodist Church and the Bancroft-Stranaham Museum.


Galentine's Day at Green Daffodill | Saturday, February 11
All ladies, come out from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to celebrate girl power, love and friendship at Green Daffodill. There will be guest artists, snacks and vintage cocktails. There will also be a limited edition candle made for the day! Bring all the girl friends you have!

Valentine's Day Cookie Decorating Class | Sunday, February 12
Do you want to make homemade treats for Valentine's Day? Come out to Good Cakes and Bakes for a class that will teach you how to decorate cookies. Just come to the class and everything will be provided. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased here.

Hip In Detroit's 5th Anniversary Bash | Friday, January 6
Come out to El Club from 8 to 11 p.m. to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Hip In Detroit. Joined by great Detroit acts and companies, this will definitely be a party to remember. There will also be gifts given out! Tickets are $8 and can be purchased here.

New Year, New You! Wellness Expo | Saturday, January 7
Celebrate the new year at the Royal Oak Farmers Market with the wellness expo from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be hundreds of products and services for a healthier mind, body, home, family, pets and more. There will be experts offering presentations, live music, healthy concessions, kids activities and free massages. This will run the same time as the farmers market. Admission, programs and parking are all free.

The Royal Oak Farmers Market is located at 316 E. 11 Mile Rd., in Royal Oak.


Mixology Fundamentals | Saturday, January 7
The Sugar House will be offering a two hour mixology class, which is a condensed version of what the bartenders have to take before they work there. You will discuss liquors, liqueurs, ingredients and tools to make mixed drinks. You'll then get the chance to make three drinks, which will cover a wide variety of techniques like shaking, stirring and straining. You must be 21 years old to take this class, and you can purchase tickets here.

Essence of Life and Johnny LZR in the Side Gallery | Sunday, January 8
At the Janice Charach Gallery, experience the essence of life -- all about Tu B'Shevat, the 15th Shevat on the Jewish calendar. There will also be a side gallery by artist Johnny LZR, a self-taught abstract artist living and working in Metro Detroit. For more information on artists featured, click here.

Hamtramck SOUP Celebration and Potluck | Sunday, January 8

It will be a great opportunity to talk with neighbors about future community events, how to make new projects happen and how SOUP can improve. SOUP is a potluck, so bring a dish to share!

Hour Best Dressed Fashion Show | Thursday, September 29
Come out to The Fillmore for Hour Detroit's Best Dressed fashion show, presented by The Somerset Collection and hosted by Amy Andrews of FOX 2. Celebrate with 2016 best dressed winners in style by sipping on yummy cocktails, eating delicious light bites and enjoying a runway show. Doors open at 6 p.m., and for tickets, click here.

Library at Night Tour | Thursday, September 29
Experience the Detroit Public Library's magnificent architecture and art underneath the stars at this awesome experience. This tour is a perfect date night, fun time with friends or just a wonderful visit to Detroit. You'll learn the hidden secrets, backstories and hidden nooks of the acclaimed main library. You decide how much your ticket will cost, but all proceeds will support the HYPE Teen Film Festival on October 15. This goes from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are available here.

Director's Cut Talk: Alger Theater | Thursday, September 29
Get to know DIA Director Salvador Salort-Pons as he talks about his background, a brief history of the museum and what his plans are for the historic Alger Theater, where the talk will be taking place. You will have an opportunity to ask questions after the talk, and a reception will follow. The talk starts at 6 p.m. This event is free to the public.

Oktoberfest in the Park | Saturday, October 1 through Sunday, October 2
Come out to Atwater in the Park for a fun and free Oktoberfest celebration. There will be tappings from 4 to 6 p.m. and music, games and events all day long. You definitely don't want to miss any of the festivities at this two-day celebration.

Fall Flavor Weekends in Greenfield Village | Saturday, October 1 through Sunday, October 2
Celebrate and explore more than three centuries of America's food centuries during this fun-filled weekend at Greenfield Village. You'll be able to experience an abundance of harvest season flavors at the Saturday Local Roots Farmers Market (this is only from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), cooking demonstrations inside the historic homes and free samples of products. This is free for members, but non-members can purchase tickets here.

Hard Cider & Donuts | Sunday, October 2
Enjoy another round of hard cider and donuts at Michigan by the Bottle Tasting Room, but this time at the Royal Oak location! Donuts and cider will be available for purchase together or individually. Cider flavors include Verterra Winery Just Apple, Cherry Blush, Raspberry Rush, Blackberry Bliss, Sweet Peach Chaos Hard Ciders and the current on-tap Chateau de Leelanau cider.
