Sample Warehouse Back to School Sale | Wednesday, August 26
Get ready for back to school with a Back to School sale at from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Sample Warehouse. Women's and kids clothes will be offered at sample prices, and some of the brands featured are Flowers by Zoe, Vintage Havana, Bitz Kids and many more. This shopping event is one you won't want to miss, and as a bonus, receive 10% off all purchases over $75.

Detroit City Art Walk | Friday, August 28 to Saturday, August 29
Take a stroll down Michigan Avenue in Corktown, and enjoy art from both local and international artists for the Detroit City Art Walk. Carl Lundgren, Michael Palme, Designs by RebbecaMich, Jade Ashmore and Samantha Curry are just a few of the many artists featured on the walk. Artwork at the event will be composed of different mediums including, but not limited to, fashion, glass and metal sculpturing, wood, mixed media and watercolors. The art walk will take place in various local establishments in the Historic Corktown District, and will be available to see during normal business hours.

Library Street Collective Presents | Saturday, August 29
Solo exhibition "POISON" by Los Angeles-based artist, Cleon Peterson, is coming to Library Street Collective this Saturday. Cleon Peterson is globally recognized for his graphic, monochromatic works depicting merciless violence and he is bringing his mayhem-filled narratives to Detroit for the first time. The exhibition will feature a collection of over twenty acrylic-on-canvas pieces as well as porcelain sculptures. Cleon Peterson's "POISON" exhibition will be on view at Library Street Collective from Saturday, August 29 to Thursday, October 15. Belle Isle Summer Saturdays | Saturday, August 29
Enjoy a few different outdoor activities while summer is still around at Belle Isle Summer Saturdays. So many fun events are happening, and you'll want to go to the website for a complete list, but we'll highlight just a few.  From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., the Yoga Shelter will host Yoga on the Island at White House Lawn. Take a hike with the Belle Isle Nature Zoo from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for the Belle Isle Wildlife Hike. Like we said, there is so much happening, so pack a bag and visit BLISS to plan out your day. A recreation passport is required for vehicle access to Belle Isle, and no passport necessary for pedestrian, bike and bus access.

Michigan Cider Dayze Festival | Saturday, August 29 to Sunday, August 30
Get into the fall season with metro Detroit's first cider, beer, music and food festival from 12 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Blake Farms. Local breweries featured at the event include Founders, Rochester Mills Beer Co., Shorts Brewing Co., and more. Eastern Market Sunday Build Bazaar | Sunday, August 30
Head over to Eastern Market this Sunday for the Build Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 40 local vendors will be featured, and some of them will offer products like organic soap, Detroit-themed decals, fresh-roasted coffee, baked goods, handcrafted wood items and more.
