About Me: I fell in love with fashion when I started working for SHEI Magazine in 2011. The first time I set foot on set for a photo shoot I knew that this was where I was meant to be. Ever since, I've been styling, directing and organizing photo shoots. Whether it's an editorial, commercial, or simply extra curricular (e.g. for my blog), there is no place I'd rather be than styling a photo shoot.

As a blogger, I don't usually place myself in front of the camera. I really prefer to be directing and styling the models. While living in Ann Arbor, I enjoyed collaborating with several local retail boutiques including Ayla & Company, Today Clothing and Lily Grace Cosmetics (just to name a few). With my recent move to New York City to work for Lafayette 148 New York, I'm excited to further immerse myself into the world of fashion from the perspective of a Michigander and firm Detroit Supporter.

Style Inspiration: For this look, I was thinking about the perfect fall essentials: knee high boots, a suede hat and anything that can be layered like a vest or poncho. Using tonal hues of brown and chestnut, I built upon a basic black pant, white shirt ensemble. It's hard to think about fall while the summer temperature rage on, but as the evenings get cooler and we begin to feel the chill of autumn's approach, one cannot deny that fall is coming.

Fall Style Tip #1: Turn a basic cotton or cashmere long sleeve or turtle neck into something fabulous by using as the base for layering. A statement necklace can take your look from a 5 to a 10 in no time! Invest in jewelry because it never goes out of style.

Fall Style Tip #2: There is nothing wrong with faux leather! Not only are vegan and quality artificial leathers more sustainably responsible, they are also easier to care for and do not require a leather specialist for cleaning. When purchasing [faux] leathers, look for something made from neo-tech cloth with fibers that won't break down or weaken with wear.
