This weekend is chock-full of fun and fashionable things to do, so if you’re itching to hit the town, these events will keep you busy!



DOCR Detroit Grand Opening Event | Thursday, January 7

Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters has opened a second location in Detroit, and the grand opening is happening from 5 to 10 p.m. on Thursday. Live music, hourly specials, delicious food is the perfect compliment to the coffee being served up all evening. The night will end with a friendly Latte Art Competition, so make sure you stick around to see who can create the best latte.

Downtown Plymouth's Ice Festival | Friday, January 8 through Sunday, January 10
Downtown Plymouth will be an illuminated winter wonderland all weekend. Enjoy an evening of ice sculptures, dueling chainsaw competitions and a winter party with an ice bar, and live bands. Pick Me Up: A Houseplant + Plant Accessories | Saturday, January 9
Head down to the Peacock Room from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a little green pick me up. Not only will different types of greenery be available, but a selection of vintage and new pots, vases and ready-to-hang green walls will be available to go with your houseplant purchase. Metered and non-metered street parking is available, as well as the attached Park Shelton structure on Woodward.

The Recycled Project: Vintage Pop-Up | Sunday, January 10
From 3 to 7 p.m., the Tangent Gallery is hosting vintage clothing collectors, connoisseurs and sellers for an afternoon of vintage shopping. A broad spectrum of unique, vintage goods will be available including women's clothing, men's clothing, accessories and gifts. Detroit Deadstock, Pearl and Lace Vintage, Snack Attack Vintage and Gift, Penny's Vintage Pop-Up, and Artifact Vintage are just a few of the many vintage vendors featured at the event.
