Failure: Lab Detroit | Thursday, January 14
Failure: Lab Detroit is a raw and intimate showcase telling stories about personal failures. From 7:30 to 9 p.m., this event is in partnership with Creative Many, a statewide non-profit organization, dedicated to advocating and strengthening support for the arts and culture sector in Michigan. Failure: Lab Detroit has an open and fresh environment that empowers the audience to explore the space between people who fall down and quit, and those who get back up again. There will be limited seating, and tickets are $30 for general admission, so head over to Eventbrite to get yours.

The Drunks of Antiquity: Detroit Historic Bus Tour | Friday, January 15
Drinks and story telling is a great combination. As we all know Detroit is full of history, have you ever actually been to the oldest bar in Detroit? Well, if you answered no, jump on the bus tour experience Detroit's history first hand. The first pickup location is at 6:15 p.m. at Grand Trunk Pub in Detroit, and the second pickup location is at 6:55 p.m. at Rosie O'Grady's in Ferndale. Tickets for the event are $37, and available on the Detroit Bus Company website.

Wild Winter Weekends | Sunday, January 17
It might be cold outside, but the best way to enjoy it is a visit to the beautiful Detroit Zoo. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., visit your favorite habitats and enjoy some cool activities including, children's music, zookeeper talks, crafts and more.
January Detroit SOUP | Sunday, January 17
Make a difference in the community, and have a delicious meal while doing it. Join Detroit SOUP at a public potluck dinner to learn about creative projects happening in Detroit. A few different groups come together to make their case, and then YOU vote on the project you think deserves it the most. Detroit SOUP suggests a donation $5 to attend, and feel free to bring along a dish to pass. The doors open at 6 p.m., talk about creative projects at 7, and finally dinner 8.

Lunch & Learn: Getting Ready for Tax Time | Monday, January 18
You guessed it, it's that time again, so why not make taxes a little less taxing. From 12 to 2 p.m., join CPA Kathy McCallum at Bamboo Detroit to talk about how to get the most from your tax return and dangers to avoid. There will also be an indepth Q&A following the presentation, so start writing your questions down now. Tickets for the event are $17 and available on Eventbrite.
