As hard as it is to believe, the holidays are almost upon us. 'Tis the season of baking cookies, decorating the house, and shopping for
loved ones. While you're shopping for something special, consider support Detroit with the Build Institute’s holiday “shop
local” initiative.
Build Institute has
always provided support to aspiring and experienced entrepreneurs and small
businesses, so it seems only fitting that such a wonderful institute would help
out these fellow Detroiters through the holiday season. Featuring pop-up marketplaces, celebrate emerging entrepreneurs from Detroit at different events in November and December. Each Bazaar will feature some of Detroit’s
most creative vendors of artisanal candles, to baked goods, and handmade gifts.
These Bazaars give local business owners and entrepreneurs the chance to test
their product, do market research, increase revenue, and reach a bigger span of
customers. They give both the vendor and the customer an opportunity to
experience different parts of Detroit and learn more about the products and
people around us.
The schedule for Build Bazaars this season is as follows:
Nov. 15: November Citywide Detroit SOUP
Nov. 28: Build Bazaar ad One
Campus Martius for Small Business Saturday
Dec. 5: Noel Night’s Build Bazaar
at the Majestic Theatre
Dec. 12: Southwest Holiday Fest at the
3rd Precinct
Mark down these dates on your calendar, since we know the
holiday season flies by faster than Santa’s sleigh, for these pop-up shops are
not to be missed. As we prepare for Thanksgiving, we begin to think of those we love the most. What better way
to show you care than giving a gift that supports our city, has a story behind
it, and is meaningful? Let’s help to promote and drive Detroit’s business
ecosystem. For more information about Build Bazaar, click here.
