This weekend is chock-full of fun and fashionable things to do, so if you’re itching to hit the town, these events will keep you busy!






Wine, Women & Shoes | Thursday, September 24
Dress in your most fabulous outfit and head over to Wine, Women and Shoes from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Dearborn Inn for a night of fashion to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation. Enjoy a Dream Closet raffle, shoe & accessory shopping, a live auction, fashion show and more, all to the backdrop of a delicious wine tasting. Tickets for the event are $150 for general admission and $250 for VIP, and can be purchased here

Hour Detroit's Best Dressed | Thursday, September 24
Prepare for your weekend with a Best Dressed Fashion Show presented by Somerset Collection at The Filmore Detroit. Celebrate the 2015 Best Dressed winners after seeing a phenomenal show with cocktails, light bites from Katherine’s Catering, and the historic Filmore Theatre. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 8 p.m. Not ready for the night to be over? Then head over to The Whitney after the fashion show for the Official After Party. General admission tickets are $40 or Reserved Runway Seating tickets are available for $80. Veronika Scott on Empathy | Friday, September 25
CreativeMornings is a monthly breakfast lecture series aiming to provide people three things: a good reason to get up in the morning, an inspiring community of peers and good coffee. This month, Veronika Scott founder of The Empowerment Plan will be speaking about her story and about empowering others from 8:30 to 10 a.m., at Batch Brewing Company. Learn all about how she built an organization around one idea, while you wake up with a delicious cup of coffee. Admission is free, but space is limited, so reserve your spot at CreativeMornings.

DIY Street Fair | Friday, September 25
Ferndale welcomes back one of the last fairs of the season, the DIY Street Fair. Spend a day in Ferndale for countless DIY designers, creators, and products. These local, one-of-a-kind products are perfect for any birthday gift, holiday gift, or just-because. Bring the kids from 11a.m. to 6 p.m. to make crafts, do hands on activities, and get their face painted while you stop at the Beer and Wine Garden for a quick drink. Performances will be happening all day at a stage located close to The Loving Touch featuring Rock & Roll Prep School, The Electric Six, Billy Brandt, Warhorses, and many more. If you need to take a break from shopping, enjoy tasty cuisine from local vendors such as El Guapo, Treat Dreams, Detroit BBQ Co., and Chicken Coupe - just to name a few. Once the street fair is over, stop into The Loving Touch for an after party featuring more music, drinks and fun.

Nick Cave's "Heard-Detroit" | Saturday, September 26
Nick Cave is continuing his performance series Heard-Detroit at Milliken State Park this weekend. This project will feature 30 life-size sculptures of horses along the Detroit riverfront, and 60 dancers from the Detroit School of Arts and Wayne State University will operate the sculptures. Cave is hoping to captivate his audience by creating a “dreamlike vision that stops everyday life for a collective transformative moment.” Bring a blanket and sit by the river to watch the art in front of your eyes. This event is sure to be a once in a lifetime sight and experience.

Dine Drink Detroit Launch Party | Monday, September 28
Mark your calendar for the Dine Drink Detroit’s annual Launch Party from 6 to 11 p.m. at Gabriel Richard Park. Presented by Brooklyn Outdoor, Dine Drink Detroit brings together Detroit’s best food, drinks and music for a special night on the Detroit Riverfront. Sip on cocktails and munch on food from Stockyard or El Guapo as you listen to Stan Sommerson and DJ Godfather. Take a break from the music and enjoy a special video presentation on the city of Detroit, or an optional Slow Roll Monday with the bike ride meeting at 6 p.m. and leaving at 7 p.m. Tickets $15 and include three drink tickets, $25 and include five food and drink tickets, or $50 and include six food and drink tickets along with a VIP bar by Thomas Magee's Sporting House Whiskey Bar.
