DDEAF Magazine Launch Party | Thursday, September 3
You won’t want to miss the launch party of the Detroit Design Entertainment Art & Fashion Magazine. Featuring everything design, entertainment, art, and fashion related in Detroit, this print magazine celebrates the city we all know and love, as well as all of the rich culture held within. With the launch party held at Our/Detroit Vodka while featuring 2 Unique Caterers & Event Planners, it is sure to be a highlight of the summer! Come enjoy some Michigan Cherry Basil Spritzers, tapas, and more while immersing yourself in this excellent quarterly publication.

Arts, Beats & Eats 2015 | Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7
The 18th Annual Arts, Beats, & Eats is finally here. With nine stages peppered throughout downtown Royal Oak, 200 performances, Juried Fine Arts Show, and local restaurants featuring some of the best cuisine in metro Detroit, this weekend is one for the books. For a complete lineup of the events, please look to the website. For now, we will highlight some of the events going on. Concerts start Friday night at 5:30 featuring Beatlemania Live, followed by Cheap Trick and Puddle of Mud. The music continues all weekend with performances by Big Pappa & The Machine, James Otto, Carly Bins, Acoustic Madness, and many more. While enjoying the music, walk around and take in the talented work of many local designers such as Steve Anderson, Jason Brueck, Lynn Cebula, and more. A family friendly event that is perfect for a fun day in the last of the summer sun, date night, or just to enjoy the city of Royal Oak - you won’t want to miss it.

Arts, Beats & Eats is held at 909 S Main St., Royal Oak and spanning throughout the city.

Free Co-working Day | Friday, September 4
Set yourself up for a stress-free weekend by attending the free co-working day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Bamboo Detroit. Once a month Bamboo Detroit opens its doors to the public offering its creative workspace for free. Settle in to work on homework, projects, work, or just some quiet time while you enjoy breakfast, coffee, and most importantly, fast WiFi. RSVP and register on the website to lock in your spot to attend this event. Sometimes, a change of scenery from your personal office to an innovative and lively workspace may be just what you need to check some things off your to-do list.

Bike-in Movie Might - Norma Rae | Sunday, September 6
There’s no better way to end a weekend as well as kick off the start of a great week than grabbing some blankets and coming out to Woodbridge Bikes & Coffee to watch Sally Fields star in Norma Rae. Sit under the stars with popcorn and watch as a young, single mother and textile worker agrees to do anything she can to help unionize her mill. The movie starts right at 9:30, so make sure to be there on time!
